About me
I am a Canadian Gen X introvert of African Nova Scotian descent with an appetite for alliteration. I match words to signs and experiences to words.
I am a human communication specialist:
*Interpreter | English and American Sign Language (ASL)
*Writer | short fiction, creative nonfiction, and food/travel/wellness blogs
*Tutor | English (CELTA trained)
*Teacher | fitness, yoga, barre
*Proponent | plain language
I am not AI.
My interests, like my various ventures, are eclectic. I am a life-long writer, serial student, tree hugger, fan of fragrant flowers, and aspiring polyglot. I peregrinate for contemplation, meditation, and inspiration. I am a storyteller through words, photos, quotes, and food. I enjoy baking and dancing my way through life. Music is my muse, movement is my medicine, and travel is my therapy.
Languages: English (native speaker); ASL (fluent, non-native); French (intermediate-B2); Spanish (intermediate-B1); NZSL (beginner-A1); Portuguese, German, Russian, Arabic, Te Reo Mãori, Japanese, Mandarin (introductory courses)
