About my work

When I was a teenager deciding what to do with my life, I knew I wanted two things from my job: something more meaningful than a paycheque and a few part-time jobs instead of a full-time one. Now I work as a freelance interpreter, writer, fitness/yoga teacher, and occasional translator and English tutor.

I carefully craft accessible communication that is:
*clear, coherent, and concise
*tailored to the audience, purpose, and genre of the message.

I am also proprietor of an independent business, Dancipation Wellness.

Interpreting
I have 30 years’ experience interpreting throughout Canada and the US in the fields of post-secondary, the arts, and business. I was a guest speaker at Victoria University, Wellington, New Zealand (2009).

I also do translations of ASL into English text.

I write short fiction, creative nonfiction, travel/food/wellness blogs, and reviews. I have also contributed to various newsletters (nonprofit organizations and professional associations).
